Liguria is the protagonist at BITESP in Venice with sea, nature and cuisine.
Liguria participates in the VII edition of the International Experiential Tourism Exchange (BITESP) presenting itself in the setting of the Venice Maritime Station a varied tourist offer, suitable for all types of travellers.
The Liguria stand, conceived to reflect the territorial identity from West to East, accompanies visitors on a symbolic journey: from the oil of Imperia to the heart of Genoa, a city of art, to the food and wine culture, and not only, of the Cinque Terre. All facets of the regional offer are represented.
From the 'active' side, for those who want to keep moving even on holiday, to the more creative side of 'arts & movies'. There is no shortage of 'regeneration', for those who see the holiday as the perfect opportunity to reconnect with themselves, and 'family', designed for those who want an experience suitable for adults and children, without neglecting the thousand adventures that can be experienced in the inland villages and seaside resorts.
Particular attention is paid to pesto, the symbolic sauce of Ligurian tradition with its main ingredients: Genoese DOP basil, Riviera Ligure DOP oil and DOP/IGP wines, which characterise the local cuisine. Visitors can participate in interactive culinary experiences, learning how to make pesto with a mortar and discovering the history behind basil and oil production.
The BITESP, which will end today, Tuesday 26 November, is an opportunity to promote experiential tourism through the 11 local operators present in Venice. With over 100 international buyers and 4 events, this year's edition represents an opportunity for Liguria to make itself known as a privileged destination for those seeking sustainable and immersive tourism.
