Chioggia (Venice), arrested by the State Police for mistreatment of his ex-wife
Last Saturday morning, in Chioggia, the Venice State Police arrested a man believed to be responsible for mistreatment of his ex-wife in the family.
The Flying Squad of the State Police Station of Chioggia (VE) intervened at the home of the man and woman, still living together, following a request for help from the victim's daughter.
The man, even in the presence of the police, continued to rant against his ex-wife and threaten her, even pointing a kitchen knife at her.
It later emerged that the woman had already been the victim of similar episodes of violence by the man in the past, who was arrested by the Chioggia police and placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
The Judge, after validating the arrest, ordered the suspect to be kept away from the family home and prohibited from approaching the woman or communicating with her, as well as to wear an electronic bracelet..
Pending the application of the anti-stalking device, the man will not be able to go to the Municipality of Chioggia.
