"A new exceptional hiking trail enriches the tourist offer of Veneto: the Cammino delle Dolomiti, a 500 km ring divided into 30 stages, which crosses some of the most fascinating landscapes of the Belluno Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. An immersive journey through uncontaminated nature, authentic villages and sites of great historical, cultural and spiritual importance". With these words, the Councilor for Tourism of the Veneto Region, Federico Caner, announces the recognition of a new path that enriches the network of Venetian paths and winds through paths and secondary roads, offering travelers an extraordinary opportunity to discover the naturalistic and historical heritage of the region.

Nasce il nuovo Cammino delle Dolomiti, l'Assessore Caner annuncia: "Un'esperienza unica tra natura, storia e spiritualità che arricchisce la rete dei cammini veneti"

Each stage leads to unique places: from the Sanctuary of the Holy Martyrs Vittore and Corona, the starting point of the route, to the birthplace of Pope John Paul I in Canale d'Agordo, from the mining site of Val Imperina to the Vajont dam, a symbol of Italian collective memory.

"It is a experience suitable for everyone: to hikers and pilgrims as well as lovers of nature, historical-cultural traditions and food and wine, capable of offering itineraries suitable for different difficulties and levels of preparation – explains the Councilor -. Accessible for most of the year, the route has been designed to guarantee an accessible and immersive experience, with dedicated signage and a network of services for reception, refreshment and overnight stays.".

"The project is part of the regional strategy for the enhancement of the Venetian paths, promoting a sustainable tourism that respects the environment and enhances local communities - keep it going Caner -. Through centuries-old woods, enchanted valleys and majestic peaks, visitors can therefore live an authentic experience, far from mass tourism, rediscovering the beauty of slow and conscious travel. But beyond its naturalistic charm, the Cammino delle Dolomiti is a path of introspection and spirituality: every step is an invitation to reflection, among ancient places of worship, votive shrines and monasteries immersed in the silence of the mountain. A journey that combines history, tradition and faith, making the experience even more profound and meaningful".
