Another record for “Made in Veneto”: the Asiago Consortium obtains the “Made green in Italy” certification from the Ministry, Caner: “First in Italy to achieve it for sustainable practices applied to production, Veneto still first!”

"Once again, Veneto comes first. This time the credit goes to Asiago Protection Consortium, first in Italy to obtain the 'Made green in Italy' certification for products accompanied by sustainable practices. This exceptional PDO cheese marks another record for 'made in Veneto', excellence not only for quality but also for the production model".

This is the comment of the regional councilor for Agriculture Federico Caner on the news of the recognition received by Mase from Asiago as part of the “Green Edge” project which since 2022 involves the entire production chain, committed to the protection of the natural environment, animal welfare and energy efficiency.

Altro record per il "Made in Veneto": il Consorzio Asiago ottiene la certificazione "Made green in Italy" dal Ministero, Caner: "Primi in Italia a conseguirla per pratiche sostenibili applicate alla produzione, Veneto ancora primo!"

"Applying sustainable practices to the production process, which for Asiago exceeds one million and 500.000 forms – concludes Caner -, will allow to reduce the energy consumption of each dairy by 20%, to save 150 MWh of energy and 100.000 cubic meters of gas, cutting approximately 250 tons of CO2. Not to mention the reduction of living expenses during the breeding phase, optimizing the use of water, electricity and diesel. Once again, 'working well' in Veneto combines production success but also respect for the environment, the territory, one's roots. Congratulations to the Asiago Consortium, from today an example for other realities at an Italian level!".
