Varese, international heroin trafficking busted: 7 arrests

I Financial officers of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Varese they performed aprecautionary custody order in prison issued by GIP of the Court of Busto Arsizio towards four individuals held responsible for participation in international drug trafficking.

THEoperation, conducted by the military of the Malpensa Group and coordinated by Prosecutor's Office of Busto Arsizio, allowed to dismantle a consolidated system of heroin supply and distribution coming from Pakistan, particularly from the region of Punjab, known as the “five rivers area”.

The investigations began with thearrest in flagrante delicto of a citizen Pakistani with Italian citizenshipa, found in possession of 12kg of heroin hidden in a double bottom upon arrival at the airport Malpensa.

Subsequently, they were stopped two more ovulating couriers, caught red-handed while trying to introduce 1kg of heroin on the national territory. Total market value of the seized drugs: approximately 1 million euros.

Further investigations, also conducted with the support of the Technical Means Group of the Central Organized Crime Investigation Service of the Corps, have allowed us to identify a criminal association dedicated to sale of heroin to drug dealing networks active in Lombardy and Emilia Romagna.

At the end of the investigative activities, the GIP of Busto Arsizio, accepting the requests of the Prosecutor's Office, issued precautionary custody orders in prison towards: three citizens Pakistani ed a citizen Tunisian. Thus leading to seven the total number of people arrested.
