Trieste: Prevention of predatory crimes, 191 people identified and 68 vehicles checked

The Carabinieri of the Aurisina Company carried out, in the territory of the Karst plateau, a high-impact service aimed at preventing home burglaries, which have troubled local communities in recent weeks. Numerous services have been carried out using patrols with school colors, the purpose of which is to achieve a greater sense of security.

The services were carried out paying maximum attention to the inhabited areas in the localities of Opicina, Banne, Trebiciano, Padriciano, Contovello, Prosecco and the most isolated hamlets of the plateau in the Municipalities of Duino Aurisina, Sgonico and Monrupino, with identification of people and vehicles through a series of checkpoints along the main road arteries, as well as in the most strategic and frequented points of the territory.

As part of this activity, the military intervened in a condominium reporting to the judicial authorities an Italian citizen in a state of alteration for dangerously throwing objects from his apartment, which thanks to the rapid and immediate intervention of the military did not involve or cause damage to people or things.

The service allowed to identify 191 people and check 68 vehicles, issuing a traffic violation for driving a vehicle subject to administrative seizure. Services will continue in the coming days and will be intensified in view of the Christmas holidays.
