Trieste: the tenth edition of the “Corsa della Bora” presented.

Yesterday morning (December 2) in the Sala Giunta municipale, in the presence of, among others, the mayor, Roberto Dipiazza, the municipal councilor with responsibility for Sport, Elisa Lodi, the regional councilor for local authorities, public function, security and immigration, Pierpaolo Roberti and the president of the Asd SentieroUno and director of the Corsa della Bora, Tommaso de Mottoni, the tenth edition of the “Corsa della Bora” was presented at a press conference.

The mayors of Duino Aurisina, Igor Gabrovec, of Sgonico, Monika Hrovatin, of San Dorligo della Valle also spoke at the press conference. The Corsa della Bora, this year in its tenth edition, is the most anticipated winter trail running event in Italy, organized by Asd SentieroUNO, scheduled for January 5, 2025. Eight distances, from 5 to 105 km, designed for different levels of preparation, among which the 101 km Anniversary Ultra stands out: a route that crosses the splendid landscapes of the Trieste Karst. To crown the tenth anniversary, the record is also in the number of races, which this year are nine, from the 5 km “Borin”. At the 105 km “Anniversary Ultra”, the flagship race with a completely new route through the Trieste Karst, a circular race that starts and ends on the seashore.

The race will in fact be concentrated on the Trieste Karst, embracing all the municipalities of the plateau up to the Isonzo".

Among the new features is the Expedition race, an experience to live the thrill of the 100 km also in an excursion version, with the route divided into two 50 km stages and overnight stays in hotels in the Karst municipalities, to enhance the accommodation facilities even in low season. Also making their debut are the new Transkarst and Borderless races, which run along the line of what was once the Italian-Slovenian border.
