“From simple routine checks, carried out in plain clothes, in the month of October, in the areas of greatest nightlife in the city – reports the councilor Caterina de Gavardo – a long investigation by the Trieste Local Police has begun, involving the Judicial Police Unit and the Special Interventions Unit, leading to significant results in recent days”.
Towards the middle of October the Judicial Police Unit seized some grams of cocaine during the plainclothes checks in the so-called Movida areas: he had a man reported for the transfer and a second one was reported to the Prefecture, as a buyer and user of cocaine. The investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor's Office, represented by the Deputy Prosecutor, then began Dr. Lucia Baldovin: on November 28th, following a house search, the investigators they arrested in flagrante for possession for the purpose of dealing triestine SM 41 years old, found in possession of over 100 grams of cocaine – hidden in different parts of his apartment – and of €10.000 in cash believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing; SM was taken to the Via Coroneo prison.
The next day near the Castle of San Giusto, blocked a Slovenian car and its two occupants, PP 37 years old with his wife GK 40, they came arrested red-handed because they were in possession of other money whose provenance they could not explain, but above all of over 200 grams of cocaine enclosed in some packages; they too were taken to the prison in via Coroneo.
The drug is believed to have been intended entirely for urban consumption and once cut would have allowed it shop of several hundred doses at retail with a “turnover” in the order of several thousand euros.
The operation called Crazy Horse 2024 In addition to the investigators of the Judicial Police Unit, who are always attentive to this criminal phenomenon, the personnel of the Special Interventions Unit were also employed to assist in the operational phases of the arrests.
