Trieste: Inauguration of a work created by artists in charge of the Municipal Work Placement and Integration Service
Monday 3 February, in the offices of theMinors Unit of the Municipal Social Service of Strada Vecchia dell'Istria 27, thepictorial work realized by students of the Edilmaster wall decoration course, in charge of the Municipal Work Placement and Integration Service and the SC of Disability and Neurodevelopmental Disorders of the Adult of the Asugi.
For City of Trieste the councilor for social policies intervened Massimo Tognolli, the director of the municipal Social Service Stephen Chicco, the technical management officer of job placement Raffaella Lucca, the head of the Minors UOT 2 facility Francesca Anita Pointer.
They also spoke on disability manager di Asugi Gabriel Brandolisio; the director of Edilmaster Walter Lorenzi; the teacher of Edilmaster Francesco Zardini; The artists Daniela Termini, Danilo Strani, Beatrice Bellinghieri, Andrea Kosoveu, Alessandro Bonato, Luca Zanchetti.

The course at Edilmaster is co-designed with the Municipal Social Service of the Municipality of Trieste and the Complex Structure of Disability and Neurodevelopmental Disorders of Adults of Asugi.
Co-financed by European Social Fund Plus of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, implemented within the framework of the Specific Programme 24/23 – Training for disadvantaged people, at risk of exclusion, marginalisation, discrimination.
It lasted 200 hours, allowing participants to acquire transversal skills such as communication, teamwork and time management, as well as technical skills in the field of digital graphics and wall decoration.
Supported by trainers and industry experts, the young people learned to design and create pictorial decorations, giving life to aopera which not only enriches public spaces but also represents a symbol of inclusion and empowerment for participants themselves.
THEmural work realized is aexplosion of colors, shapes and symbols designed to stimulate the creativity, create a Cozy atmosphere for all those who frequent the offices.
The final result enriches the daily life of those who live it, with a visual message of openness and inclusiveness.
The intervention of young artists demonstrates how artistic skills can be a powerful tool for social integration.
In fact, this project allowed participants to develop self-confidence, acquire professional and relational skills, opening the door to future opportunities in the world of work.
The initiative is part of a broader context of awareness raising towards social inclusion of people with disabilities, demonstrating that art, design and creativity are universal languages that promote integration, recognition of individual abilities and community enrichment.
