Trieste: Extraordinary checks of the territory, 2 arrests and 11 reported
In order to ensure greater safety, extraordinary coordinated services continue arranged by the Provincial Carabinieri Command throughout the provincial territory aimed at preventing widespread crime as well as combating drug dealing and controlling road traffic.
These services, carried out along the coastal strip from Duino to Muggia and on the plateau, have allowed the following results to be achieved:
- arrest of a Romanian citizen in his early 20s recipient of a precautionary measure ordered by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Salerno for the crime of aggravated theft;
- tracking and arrest of a 50 year old Italian in execution of a custodial remand order issued by the GIP of the Court of Trieste for stalking committed last October;
- complaint at liberty of a 30 year old North African for attempted theft inside Porto San Rocco in Muggia. He was also found in possession of a knife and consequently reported for this crime too;
- complaint filed at liberty by a 45 year old Senegalese for failing to comply with the order to leave the national territory;
- complaint in a state of freedom of a 30 year old Italian citizen for receiving stolen goods, as he was found in possession of a stolen scooter. The property was returned to the rightful owner;
– on the front of the road traffic, they were 8 people reported for drunk drivingTheir driving licences were revoked.
To these are added the notification of a mandatory two-year expulsion order against a foreign citizen residing outside the province and the imposition of three administrative sanctions for drunkenness and disorderly conduct against as many Italian citizens. Overall, In the first three weekends of the month, 297 subjects were identified and 119 vehicles were checked.
This type of service will continue in the coming period and indeed the devices will be further strengthened in view of the Christmas holidays.
