Trieste: “Culture of legality”, Carabinieri meetings in schools. SOnly in January 2025, more than 500 students met

Also for the2024 school year / 2025, Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Trieste has initiated a series of meetings with local schools to spread and root in the kids the “culture of legality".

So continue the joint project between MIUR e General Command of the Carabinieri to broaden and deepen the educational offering for students of all levels of schools.

Thanks to the use of simple, clear, captivating, but still precise and detailed language, the Carabinieri have sensitized students to respect the law, on the development of aethics of responsibility and onimportance of trust in State institutions.

The meetings were, in any case, structured not as a simple lesson, but always transformed into a discussion panel who saw i participating boys in a manner active, both by asking questions and by recounting experiences and expressing doubts. This is a symptom of the desire of young people to understand the world in which they live and to make themselves active part of society.

This initiative, like many others promoted by the Carabinieri, such as the series of conferences on the prevention of scams against the elderly (in January there was a meeting at the University of the Third Age) and to the weaker sections of society, represent much more than an educational or social contribution.

It is instead the precise and clear synthesis of the closeness and dedication that the Carabinieri reserve for the citizens and demonstrates how they are a reassuring and proactive presence, committed to forming a generation of aware and responsible citizens.

The topics covered during the training sessions were those of education in environmental legality, from the Bullying e cyberbullying, of the "widespread interests” of the community, road safety, narcotics, gender violence, human rights and police functions, international cooperation, protection of cultural heritage, in addition to other topics relating to legality agreed at a peripheral level between school principals and commanders of the force. All subjects in which the force has always been at the forefront.

We also talked about freedom, rights and duties, because only through respect for one another can a better society be created.

The boys then showed curiosity to know the tasks of the force, the operational methods of the soldiers, the risks of this job but also the reasons for the choice to join the force.

The military responded to numerous questions, always recommending that you confidently turn to the Carabinieri, as well as teachers and parents, to report problems or risky situations.

In the month of January alone, the Carabinieri carried out 6 different conferences attended by more than 500 students.
