MIPIM: The “Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo” project represents the future of Trieste. Conference on the theme “waterfront” on March 13
A day full of meetings at MIPIM, the international Real Estate fair, which sees the presence of the City of Trieste and Ursus Consortium urban regeneration project di “Old Port – Living Port”.
Il Mayor of Trieste Robert Dipiazza, the Councilor for Public Works Elisa Lodi, the councilor for Porto Vivo and Project Financing Everest Bertoli and the president of the Ursus Consortium Julius Bernetti they met with numerous stakeholders present at the fair who are showing interest in this project which is moving towards its international tender, as required by the project financing rules.
The Mayor of Trieste, Robert Dipiazza, has received Compliments from the Director ICE Paris, Luigi Ferrelli, for how the city project has grown and consolidated in just a few years.
“The Trieste Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo project is beautiful – declared the Director of the ICE Agency in Paris, Luigi Ferrelli - We saw it appear here at MIPIM two years ago and we are truly very happy that thanks also to its participation in this fair it has found investors to make it happen even in a short timeframe".

The success of this project is characterized by the fact that it gives investors the opportunity to realize and exploit the interventions quickly, in addition to being in the center of the city. “There is a great deal of attention from the real estate market regarding what we are doing in Trieste – says the Councillor for Public Works, Elisa Lodi - the day was marked by several meetings where the interventions in progress were illustrated, those that will be the responsibility of private individuals, but above all we are presenting the next administrative steps that will culminate in the international tender that will concern the 66 hectares of this area in the center of our city".
“We are in the final sprint – states the President of the Ursus Consortium, Julius Bernetti - the Municipality of Trieste, the FGV Region, and the Port Authority through the Consortium have completed the presentation phase of the Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo project and we are here to maximize knowledge of what will be put out to tender in a few months. Many potential competitors that we are meeting today are showing interest in the hotel solutions that can be found in the Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo area”.
Il City of Trieste and Ursus Consortium present Thursday March 13 the “Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo” Project in contest dedicated to waterfronts by Title “Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo: the race! The big tender of Trieste is ready to be floated”.
The Municipality of Trieste, thanks to the collaboration with the FVG Region and the Sviluppo&Impresa Agency, is present at MIPIM with the multimedia and interactive model of the “Porto Vecchio – Porto Vivo” area enriched with new multimedia content, created in collaboration with the company Divulgando Srl, visible and visitable also on the dedicated portal www.portovivotrieste.it.
Al MIPIM this year they are participating 300 exhibitors, 90 countries and 20 thousand delegates offering a privileged ecosystem where operators can meet, develop investment projects, raise funding and start collaborations.
