I soldiers of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Carabinieri Command of Trieste, at the end of one prolonged investigative activity coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Chiara De Grassi of the Public Prosecutor's Office, have arrested four Albanian subjects, among which two brothers, all residents of the city. The investigations allowed us to reconstruct a dense cocaine dealing activity intended for numerous buyers from Trieste. The group, well organised and with defined roles, had established itself in the network of city nightlife, offering a stable and difficult to detect service. According to the Carabinieri documents, those arrested were acting in competition, each with a specific task:

  • i two brothers, specialized in preparation and supply of cocaine, they managed the “orders” and the packaging of the doses;

  • the other two accomplices took care of the home delivery, using cars rent from time to time, a useful strategy to confuse the investigations and make identification difficult.

The investigative activity, which lasted approximately six months, has allowed us to document dozens of transfers and to reconstruct in detail the modus operandi of the group, which had built a solid network of loyal customers. For regular consumers, the following was also foreseen: credit, while some payments were made via Bank transferPart of the profits was reinvested in the purchase of new substance and part sent to Albania.

Confirming the solidity of the investigative work, the four men were joined by aprecautionary custody order issued by the Court of Trieste on the proposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which considered the findings gathered by the Carabinieri. An operation that marks a major blow to the network of cocaine dealing active in the Julian capital, with the aim of restoring safety and legality in the city's most exposed areas.
