The police officers of the Flying Squad and the Police Station of Mazara del Vallo arrested, for possession with intent to deal, a forty-year-old woman, with a criminal record for crimes against the person, caught with hundreds of doses of cocaine and crack and other narcotic substances.
The judicial police activity is part of a counter-strategy aimed at repressing the flourishing drug dealing activity, conducted in the popular districts of the Municipality of Mazara.
A large package containing approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 75 grams of heroin, 50 grams of hashish and 21 grams of crack was found on the woman, who was subjected to a routine check just outside her home.
The subsequent house search led to the discovery of precision scales and material for packaging the drug.
The arrested woman, in 2018, was reported for personal injury attributable to failure to supervise, having allowed her two-year-old nephew, who lives with her, to ingest a narcotic substance of the hashish type.
Considering the seriousness of the facts, the arrested woman was taken to prison. At the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Marsala, the competent GIP validated the arrest and ordered her to be held in prison.
The proceedings were concluded with a sentence of 8 months' imprisonment.
