In recent days the Marsala State Police ha reported to the competent Judicial Authority minor citizen non-EU citizen of Tunisian nationality responsible for an atrocity aggression committed against another foreign individual originating from Guinea, which took place near the train station of Marsala.
Well, the unfortunate Guinean citizen, returning from work while he was waiting for the train to arrive that would take him to the municipality of Mazara del Vallo where he lives, he was initially approached by a group of young Tunisians, who began to offend him with insults having discriminatory content, pointing at him with racist insults due to the dark color of his skin, and, subsequently, one of the gang of troublemakers, trying to steal his cell phone, sprayed the victim in the face with pepper spray.
Later, the Tunisian attackers they hit wildly the guinea boy with kicks and punches. Furthermore, they proceeded to immobilize the victim by blocking his legs and causing his head to violently hit the road surface.
Shortly thereafter, the assailants fled the scene of the ambush. The crew of the Flying Squad of the Police Station arrived promptly on the scene. Marsala State Police, Which has Immediate intervention of medical personnel requested.
In fact, an ambulance from 118 arrived immediately at the scene of the incident and transported the injured man to the local Emergency Room to undergo the necessary medical examinations.
The efforts made by the investigators of the local Police Station, through the meticulous acquisition of the statements given by the witnesses who had witnessed the violent act, despite the absence of video surveillance systems in the places involved in the criminal conduct, which could provide useful elements for the purposes of reconstructing the facts of the crime and identifying the perpetrators, promptly succeeded in identify a minor Tunisian citizen as the main perpetrator of the ferocious assault, already burdened by multiple and similar ones previous of police, including crimes of snatching theft, attempted aggravated robbery, resisting a public official, threats and battery.
For the facts described above, the aforementioned Tunisian minor was therefore reported to the competent Public Prosecutor's Office at the Juvenile Court of Palermo for the crimes of attempted aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated personal injury and illegal possession of weapons – in this case, the spray can container of the stinging liquid used to attack the injured party and take away their “smartphone”.
