Marsala: Checks in the historic center of Lilibeo, about 80 people identified and 10 checkpoints carried out

The Police Forces, together with each other and with the help of the Municipal Police, have re-proposed the now well-tested inter-force device aimed at controlling, inch by inch, the historic center of Lilibetano, very busy, especially during the weekends due to the presence of numerous pubs, bars, restaurants and meeting places. Also in this, on the basis of the directives emanating from the periodic meetings of the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security, chaired by the Prefect Daniela Lupo, significant operational results have been achieved.

In particular, the patrols of the State Police, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza and the Municipal Police of Marsala, within the scope of the Checks carried out, overall, identified approximately 80 people – including 10 criminals and 7 foreigners – carried out 10 checkpoints, stopped 30 vehicles and carried out 2 personal searches in search of narcotics. The extraordinary activity of territorial control implemented by the Police Forces will continue in the coming weeks in order to guarantee greater safety to the citizens of Marsala.
