Marsala: Off-duty police officer stops foreign robber.

I Carabinieri of the Marsala Radiomobile Unit they arrested for rapina a foreigner born in '94, without a fixed abode in Italy. 56-year-old Polish woman, walking around the centre of Marsala, she was attacked from behind by a man who, yanking her and slamming her to the ground, he stole her cell phone and then ran away.

Un Carabiniere of the Trapani Company, present on site and off duty, realizing what had happened, provided assistance to the woman and, after raising the alarm at the operations center, he immediately set out in pursuit of the robber. The timely intervention of a radiomobile crew, guided by the indications of the colleague free from service, allowed to track down and arrest the robber.

Following the hearing which validated the arrest, the man was ordered to be released pre-trial detention in prison.
