Marsala, attempted knife robbery: two Tunisians reported.

The Carabinieri of the Ciavolo Station reported a 25-year-old and a 26-year-old foreign national for attempted robbery and aggravated personal injury.

The military intervened in the Strasatti area where shortly before the two men, under threat of a knife, allegedly asked a fellow countryman of the same age for cash and, when he refused, allegedly stabbed him in the side before fleeing.

After providing first aid to the victim - transported to the hospital in Mazara del Vallo for treatment - the Carabinieri started tracking down the two men, tracking them down shortly after in the vicinity of Piazza Fiera. One of the two, at the sight of the Carabinieri, attempted to flee on foot, but was promptly stopped. In the circumstances, the blood-stained knife was found and seized.
