The indicated measure originates from a scrupulous activity carried out by the agents of the investigative team of the State Police Station of Alcamo when, between the end of October and the month of November of the last year, in the city of Alcamo There have been numerous predatory crimes, including burglaries and robberies targeting elderly women who were targeted precisely because of their vulnerability, which made them easy “prey”.

The operators of the Investigative Section of the State Police Station gave an important response identifying those responsible for numerous thefts and robberies who were brought to justice because they were subject to custodial measures in prison and under house arrest. In order to maintain a high level of attention to prevent the commission of predatory crimes, the operators focused their attention on other criminal episodes recorded in the same period and which involved the commission of similar predatory actions, and the long and careful examination of numerous videos acquired from different surveillance systems, allowed to identify a 27-year-old young criminal from Alcamo as the person responsible for a serious robbery committed in October 2024 to the detriment of an 80-year-old woman who, after being thrown to the ground, was forcibly deprived of two gold necklaces.

The same individual was found responsible for a theft with dexterity inside a church, again to the detriment of an elderly woman, as well as a theft inside a local company where he stole several computer devices. The results of the meticulous investigation activity were presented to the Judicial Authority which, having taken note of the validity of the serious evidence collected against the perpetrator of the aforementioned predatory actions, requested and obtained from the Preliminary Investigations Judge of the Court of Trapani the personal precautionary measure of prison custody.
