The agents of the Alcamo Police Station have reported to the Judicial Authority in a state of liberty for the crime of receiving stolen goods a Somali citizen, legally resident in the national territory.
During the usual territorial control activity, the patrol officers, passing through the historic center, were alerted by a passerby who had noticed a foreign citizen riding a bicycle that she recognized as the one taken from her son a few days earlier.
Thanks to the indications provided by the woman, the operating personnel tracked down the reported subject a short distance away while he was riding the aforementioned bicycle. When questioned appropriately, the Somali citizen stated that he had purchased the bicycle a few days earlier from a man from Alcamo.
However, given the victim's recognition, the police officers proceeded to report the non-EU citizen to the Judicial Authority because he was considered responsible for the crime of receiving stolen goods, at the same time, they proceeded to return the bicycle to the injured party.
Finally, we must not forget the applause shown by the young victim to the police officers for having allowed him to regain possession of the bicycle that he was particularly fond of.
