Trapani: He rubbed himself against students on the bus, alleged serial molester arrested

Staff of the Flying Squad of the Trapani Police Headquarters, on the orders of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Trapani, have given execution of a custody order in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Trapani, against a man investigated for an alleged sexual assault.

The man from Trapani acted on board buses, choosing the lines most frequented by students, sometimes even minors, attempting sexual approaches by rubbing himself against passengers. A very young victim found the courage to tell her family and then the State Police investigators what happened on the bus, returning from school.

The investigation, which found confirmations in the valuable testimonies of other passengers, present at the time of the incident, brought to light a worrying picture of harassment perpetrated by man in broad daylight.

The police were able, on the basis of the description of the victim and the witnesses, to identify the individual and, considering the seriousness of the facts, at the instigation of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Trapani and in execution of a prison order, they proceeded with his arrest. The arrested man, a forty-five year old homeless man, has committed similar crimes in the past, showing a tendency towards serial crime.
