Thanks to this collaboration, the city will have an innovative infrastructure capable of hosting regional events, including high-level technical events. This project is not limited to competitive sports. We have seen it with other disciplines such as athletics, fencing and basketball: investing in programs of this type can bring important results in terms of promoting the territory, welcoming athletes and supporters and, above all, it offers opportunities for young people who seek personal growth in sport."
The mayor also highlighted how, in recent years, La Spezia has experienced a significant evolution in its ability to offer new spaces for various sports activities, often innovative compared to the past. Among the ongoing projects he recalled the new swimming pool , gym serving the Fontana Middle School and other associations, adding that investments will continue in strategic infrastructures and collaborations with local authorities, associations and businesses.
This intervention represents a work of great interest for the community of La Spezia. The creation of the new skating rink will enrich the offer of spaces dedicated to sport and free time and will help promote socialization, physical well-being and the development of recreational activities for all age groups. Furthermore, it will fill a Infrastructure shortage relating to sports disciplines that in the past have never received the right attention from previous administrations.
