Sassari. The local road Maccia d'Agliastru made safe thanks to the collaboration between public and private. Work for 400 thousand euros.

Thanks to the close collaboration between public and private the local road Maccia d'Agliastru may be affected by important extraordinary maintenance and safety works, for 400 thousand euros. In recent days the Consortium's assembly, coordinated by the president Antonio Cardin and in which the councilor for Mobility and Traffic Infrastructures Carlo Sardara also participated, decided to allocate 200 thousand euros, which are in addition to the 200 thousand municipal ones already foreseen in recent days by the Junta. The contribution of the Medea company was fundamental, which participated with 80 thousand euros.

«This is a further demonstration of the importance of cooperation between public and private – commented councilor Carlo Sardara –. Thanks to this collaboration, which sees the Municipality of Sassari, the Maccia d'Agliastru consortium and the Medea company which uses the consortium road as protagonists, it is finally possible to resolve a major road safety problem caused by the critical conditions of the consortium roads. It should be highlighted that the maintenance of the Maccia d'Agliastru local road benefits the entire community and not just the individual consortium members, since the Medea depot is also located there, from which the city's gas supply starts. The sharing of expenses was agreed on the basis of the municipal statute of the local road consortia".

President Antonio Cardin is of the same opinion:«These works will allow the consortium roads to be traveled safely both for us users and for Medea's vehicles which, thanks to its extraordinary contribution, has made it possible to reach the necessary financial availability». Over the next few weeks, once the design has been approved, the works will begin to be carried out.
