Sardinia, 23 million allocated for energy efficiency of municipal ERP housing
23 million euros have been allocated for financing aimed at the public residential building (ERP) assets owned by municipalities. The resolution was proposed by the Councillor for Public Works Antonio Piu and approved in the last meeting of the Council and provides, through a financial remodulation, the promotion of interventions aimed at improving energy performance, with consequent reduction and optimization of consumption, including the use of home automation, the application of innovative technologies for the acquisition, storage and use of energy from renewable sources.
“It is the first time that a financing line has been defined for the ERP assets of municipalities – he underlines Councillor Piu - we have managed to allocate resources through a remodulation, following what is already happening for the Area assets (Regional Housing Agency), in line with the programmatic guidelines of the Sardinia Regional Plan FESR 2021-2027. The goal is to give priority to the quality of living for all citizens.".
The resolution also intervenes with a financial remodulation between actions and sub-actions of priority 3 “Green transition” of the ERDF 2021-2027 regional programme (in relation to the specific objectives “Energy efficiency and emission reduction”, “Promotion of renewable energy” and “Intelligent energy systems”) and provides for an increase of 10 million euros, bringing the total resources to 60 million.
"This allows us - he has declared piu - to satisfy a greater number of requests from the bodies receiving the call published in November 2024 for the energy efficiency of public buildings” whose endowment will increase from 40 to 50 million euros (the other 10 million are already earmarked for the recently published tender for public lighting).
The main intervention intended for ERP housing in municipalities The eligible works include roof insulation, thermal insulation, heat-insulating plasters, innovative window frames, the installation of heat pumps for heating and cooling, solar thermal panels and photovoltaic systems. The approved provision finally gives the mandate to the Service of the General Directorate of Public Works to proceed with the assumption of the consequent acts for the execution of the Intervention Program, preparing the specific notice for the selection of the works to be financed.
