Increase in funding for the Reception Service for women victims of violence in Sardinia
The allocation foreseen for the Emergency Reception Service dedicated to women victims of violence and their daughters and sons goes from 4 million and 200 thousand euros to over 4 million and 755 thousand, foreseen in the framework of the Regional program Fesr Sardinia 2021-27. The funded interventions are those of restructuring, adaptation and provision of furniture and equipment aimed at activating emergency reception centers.
“Evaluate the needs of the territories, we have accepted the requests for budget increases received from the PLUS Areas of Nuoro and Sassari", explains Regional Health Councillor Armando Bartolazzi. “The Municipality of Nuoro had requested an increase from 445 thousand to 750 thousand euros, while Sassari, beneficiary of an allocation of one million and 145 thousand euros, requested an increase of 205 thousand euros”.
"The increases adopted represent a further sign of attention from the Region which had already intervened with a previous resolution last November to increase the initial budget by 3 million euros. The news – continues the councillor– do not only concern the allocations, but also other aspects linked to the obligations to be signed with the management bodies of the PLUS Areas benefiting from the resources: the signing of program agreements is no longer required but simple conventions by the beneficiary bodies with the Family Policies and Social Inclusion Service”.
