Rome: He snatches a woman's bag, breaking her arm, 43-year-old arrested
It took a long and meticulous effort by the State Police, coordinated by the Rome Prosecutor's Office, to identify the alleged perpetrator of a robbery that took place in Pigneto at the end of August. The suspect was taken to prison as ordered by the Preliminary Investigations Judge.
It was just after 13.30pm when a woman, while walking along the streets of Pigneto, felt her purse being pulled by a man on a white scooter. The victim instinctively held on to the purse, but today's suspect did not give up even when the victim, dragged, ended up on the ground in the middle of the roadway. The victim was taken to the hospital by emergency services and was found to have a broken humerus.
The investigations were immediately entrusted to the investigators of the Porta Maggiore police station; the agents, with the coordination of the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office, They first sifted through the neighborhood's cameras and were able to identify a suspect. Confirmation of the validity of the investigative thesis came from searches of the suspect today; in fact, the clothes he was supposedly wearing during the crime were seized in his home.
The elements acquired allowed the Prosecutor's Office to request and obtain the issuing of a precautionary measure against the man; a 43-year-old Roman already burdened by a police record. It was the same officers from the Porta Maggiore police station who carried out the precautionary measure and, after the ritual acts, accompany the 43-year-old to prison.
