The valuable information provided to the officers of the Porta Pia Police Station, who intervened on the scene shortly after, allowed the police to quickly reconstruct the dynamics of the episode, then crystallized thanks to the comparison between some photo albums submitted to the victim's attention and images captured by the video surveillance system of another nearby business.
The man recognized by the woman as the perpetrator of the robbery was already known to the police. Just a month ago, he had already been caught and reported, on two separate occasions, for the same crime. The searches immediately started by the police through the databases allowed them to intercept him in a hotel located on the same street as the targeted business, where, shortly after, the alert went off. Taken by surprise, the 43-year-old, who in the meantime hadn't even had time to change, he still had the proceeds from the robbery he had carried out shortly before in his pockets. At the end of the investigations, the man was therefore arrested and subsequently validated by the Judicial Authority.
