Rome: on the run to Castelli Romani, a trip to the end of the line for a North African boy stopped by the Police for robbery and personal injury
First he approached a man and snatched the cell phone from his hands, then he beat him, leaving him bleeding on the ground. Then, to get away undisturbed, he took a bus to Marino.
It happened yesterday around 9.00:42 at the Anagnina bus terminal. The alarm was raised by the victim, a 1-year-old man, who, despite the attack he had suffered, had the lucidity to immediately call 1 2 XNUMX (NUE). Meanwhile, while she was talking on the phone to the police, she managed to maintain eye contact with her attacker, following his movements until he boarded a bus headed to the Castelli.
His careful gaze in observing every physical detail and his movements while he was choosing the escape route proved to be a fundamental help for the police officers who intervened shortly after at the scene of the attack.
The cross-analysis of the information provided by the victim and the images captured by the video surveillance systems in the area - the one where the robbery had taken place and the one considered a possible "landing point" for the escape - allowed the officers to quickly intercept the young man in Rocca di Papa. Convinced that he had gotten away with it, he was waiting for the bus that would take him back to the "terminus" when, at the end of the journey, he was surprised by the police officers from the Romanina Police Station.
Immediately subjected to a personal search, the boy, a 22-year-old of North African origin, was found in possession of two iPhones – one of which was identical to the one stolen from the victim and later recognized by her – as well as 320 euros in cash.
The assaulted man, who in the meantime had been accompanied to the Emergency Room, was discharged with a prognosis of 30 days for a compound fracture of the nasal bones.
At the end of the investigations, the 22-year-old – already known for specific previous convictions against him – was immediately arrested on suspicion of crime, subsequently validated by the Judicial Authority.
