It started on the morning of March 14th,operation in blue in the area of “former hamlet” of via dell'Acqua Bullicante, which has long been in the crosshairs of the State Police following some complaints and reports from residents for a alleged drug ring within the wooded area, known for the presence of old buildings and structures in an advanced state of decay.

To end up in the crackdown of the State Police a 25enne and a 44enne, originally from Guinea and Bangladesh, arrested red-handed after a vain attempt to take refuge in one of the abandoned buildings of the former hamlet.

22 people found inside the illegally occupied area, who were accompanied to the immigration office of the Police Headquarters for the usual investigations regarding their position on the national territory.

Of these, two were expelled with an order to be held at the CPR of Palazzo San Gervasio waiting to be repatriated to their respective countries of origin.

For the 22 people identified, a detailed criminal report will be sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office for invasion of land and/or buildings.

The entire area will now be reclaimed also from a health and hygiene point of view and made safe while waiting to be returned to the citizens.
