Rome: Attacks a minor with a kippah, a 33-year-old arrested.

The facts date back to 29st January, when a minor wearing a kippah, while he was in National Street in Rome with the mother, it was attacked by a man who hit him with his bare hands.

The perpetrator of the act, identified as a 33 year old Egyptian citizen, Was tracked down shortly afterwards by the agents of Digos, from the Police Station Trevi Campo Marzio and Trastevere, following the report received by the 112.

The assault and the attempted escape

After hitting the minor, the man hurled against a local shopkeeper, intervened to defend the victim. At that moment, the attacker has took a glass bottle out of his pocket, threatening further violence.

Investigators have acquired and analyzed the images of the video surveillance cameras, which confirmed the dynamics of the incident.

Arrest and investigations underway

The man was arrested for attempted deformation of the person's appearance by permanently injuring the face with offensive objects. The measure was validated by the judicial authority.

The arrested man, homeless and holder of international protection in Italy, does not appear to be burdened by significant criminal records. Further investigations are underway by theImmigration Office of the Police Headquarters, in coordination with the judicial authorities, to assess its position on the national territory.
