He had been wanted by the Slovak authorities since February this year, when a European arrest warrant was issued against him for extradition purposes for the murder of his ex-girlfriend two years ago.

It was July 2022 when the woman reported to the Slovak Police the obsessive behavior of her ex-partner who obsessed her by following her everywhere. A few days later, on the evening of July 15, the man then carried out his planned and cruel action. He had chased the victim while he was travelling, on board his own car, on the road between the Slovak municipalities of Revuca and Muranska Dlha Luka, and with a series of dangerous maneuvers he had repeatedly hit her with his car. Finally, with the intention of killing her, he had deliberately crashed into the woman's vehicle, who had immediately died from bleeding due to the serious injuries sustained.

Two years later, Slovak authorities sentenced the 25-year-old to XNUMX years in prison on suspicion of murder.

The man was arrested last night by State Police officers from the Viminale Police Station. He was caught by the “guests staying” alert that was triggered in a hotel on Via Giovanni Amendola, which reported his presence inside the hotel to the police headquarters' operations room.

The man, now in prison, was taken to the Regina Coeli prison, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending extradition.
