Rome: over 100 kg. of drugs seized, the State Police arrests 5 people.

Brilliant anti-drug operation by the State Police officers of the III Fidene-Serpentara District, coordinated by the Rome Prosecutor's Office, who during various operations to combat drug dealing, arrested 5 people because they were seriously suspected of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing in narcotics.

Specifically, the policemen of the III District arrived, following intense investigative activity, in via Publio Elio at the home of a man, identified as a 28-year-old Albanian, where they found, hidden in the bedroom, approximately 979 blocks of hashish weighing approximately 72 kg in total, 13 electronic cigarettes, in whose tank there was liquid with an alleged narcotic effect, various drug packaging materials and approximately 30.000 euros in cash.

The police, in via Giorgio Pelasca, carried out a check on a car with a woman on board, finding two shopping bags on the back seat with numerous blocks of hashish weighing approximately 22 kg; from a house search at the latter's home they found, hidden in the kitchen fridge, 6 kg of hashish and 3 grams of cocaine. The woman, a 44-year-old Italian, was arrested.

Instead, while passing through Via Siculiana, they had the opportunity to see a man who, with a cautious attitude, was extracting an envelope from the bonnet of a car and then handing it to another person; they reached them, identifying them as a 52-year-old and a 29-year-old, both Italian, and found 1 and a half kilos of hashish inside the bag; also, I wear to the 29 year old, they found 3.000 euros, while in the pockets of the 52 year old, 2845 euros. Furthermore, in the dashboard of the car, the officers found another 4850 euros in cash divided into banknotes of different denominations.

Finally, in via Pavia, they noticed a man with a cooler bag who was wandering around the parked cars in a suspicious manner; they checked him, identifying him as a 45-year-old Italian and found him in possession of over 400 grams of hashish and 85 euros; therefore, they arrested him.

The Judicial Authority, at the request of the local Public Prosecutor's Office, validated the arrests.

In any case, all the suspects are to be considered presumed innocent, in consideration of the current phase of the proceedings or that of the preliminary investigations, until a definitive finding of guilt with an irrevocable sentence.
