The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, received the Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain a Villa Doria Pamphilj on the occasion of State Visit of the Royals in ItalyThe meeting was also attended by the Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani.
At the opening, President Meloni once again expressed her personal solidarity and that of the Italian Government for the victims and devastation caused by the floods at the end of October in the Valencia region.
The relations between Italy and Spain within the framework of their common membership of the European Union were the subject of the subsequent exchange, with particular attention to economic and cultural cooperation.
The meeting was also an opportunity to confirm the common strategic interest in further strengthening relations with Latin America, but also with the Southern Neighborhood and Africa, even in the broader context of management of the migratory phenomenon.
Finally, the main crisis areas were discussed, starting from Middle East and the latest developments in Syria.
