Drug dealer arrested in Rome: He was dealing tramadol, the “fighter’s drug”

For many, tramadol It is an unknown drug that, in medicine, it is used as a painkiller. For others, given its easily accessible price, is becoming popular in the drug world for its euphoric effects, so much so that it has earned the nickname “fighter's drug”. To recognize the power associated with the core business a 35enne Nigerian, who he was arrested by the Rome State Police. The investigation was triggered by an anonymous report from a citizen via the “YouPol” application, who in school English drew an identikit, accompanied by two photographs, of a man presumably North African, who commuted every day between Naples and the capital. He arrived at Termini station aboard a red car and then hung out in via Giolitti where he usually met his trusted clients.

The real-time acquisition of the report by the operations room of the Police Headquarters allowed the investigators of the Viminale Police Station, in collaboration with the Judicial Police Team of the Railway Police Department for Lazio, to start an info-investigative activity which, thanks to a series of cross-checks, it was possible to immediately trace the identity of the “away” pusher. Thus, The officers waited for him to arrive from the Neapolitan capital on board his red Ford Fiesta and parked, as usual, near the station.

After a few minutes, then, when the first customer of the day arrives, the police managed to immortalize the delivery of the pills and the simultaneous exchange for money. At that point the police raid was launched. Subjected to a personal search, the pusher had on him 25 blister packs of tramadol, other loose pills ready for sale and 500 euros in small denomination banknotes, presumed proceeds of his illicit activity. A leather diary hidden inside his home later revealed his consolidated business: from page to page, he noted down every movement, from the number of doses delivered and pills to be delivered, to the amounts to be collected, to the names of individual customers.

Inside 300 more blister packs of tablets were seized, for which the man was unable to provide an explanation or produce any documentation justifying the possession of the opiate. The 35-year-old Nigerian was therefore arrested for the crime of possession and dealing of narcotic substances, which was validated by the Judicial Authority which has ordered the arrest against him precautionary measure of custody in prison.
