Anzio: aggravated theft, improper use of credit cards and extortion. Two Romanians end up in prison.

The agents of the Anzio-Nettuno police station have carried out a precautionary custody order in prison against two 21-year-olds of Romanian origin, as they are seriously suspected of the crimes of aggravated theft, improper use of credit cards and extortion.

Specifically, women used to approach elderly men near the Padiglioni shopping center in Anzio; they offered to help them carry the shopping into the car and then, taking advantage of a moment of distraction, take possession of the wallet or other valuable objects in the possession of the unfortunate people.

Thanks to the complaint filed by the administrator of the shopping centre, who had noted that some women, of the Roma ethnic group, were insistently and boldly approaching possible customers to perpetrate thefts, as well as to engage in prostitution, the investigations then began.

The investigators, during the observation services, on one occasion, ascertained that one of the two had asked an elderly man for a ride and, once on board, had begun to undress, distracting him in order to steal his ATM card, which shortly thereafter he would use it to make cash withdrawals.

On another occasion, again near the shopping centre, one of them, after having approached and become familiar with a man, asked him if she could be hired as a domestic worker. Once in the home of the unfortunate man she had taken possession of gold objects that he kept in his house and, threatening to harm him and his family, she had the money delivered.

At the end of the ritual activities, the women were taken to the Rebibbia prison. The search continues for two other accomplices, who are also the recipients of measures.
