Rome–Latina, two criminal organizations specializing in drug trafficking dismantled: 15 arrests.
A large-scale operation of the State Police, coordinated by District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Rome, led to the execution of a precautionary prison measure for 15 people, withholdings seriously suspected to belong to two criminal organizations active in drug trafficking between Anzio, Nettuno and Latina.
According to the investigations, the gangs guaranteed a constant supply of cocaine, hashish and marijuana, managed through a widespread network of pusher, custodians e supply channels, even arriving at support each other in case of stock exhaustion.
The measure represents the outcome of a long and complex investigative activity by the Rome Flying Squad, which allowed us to reveal the structures, roles and modus operandi of the two criminal structures, organised according to a pyramid modelThe leaders, although they are at the arrest, coordinated the trafficking through trusted intermediaries.
Weapons, drug dealing areas and nightlife venues
The two organizations, strong in the availability of firearms, they had monopolized numerous drug dealing areas of the Roman and Pontine coast. Negotiations for the purchase of drug shipments often took place in catering establishments, bars and places frequented by nightlife.
One of the two consorteries even had a bar-restaurant used as an operations base, where agreements for drug supplies were defined.
The overall turnover, according to investigative estimates, reached several million euros on the retail market.
During the year of investigations, investigators seized:

3,5kg of cocaine

18 kg of hashish

almost half a kilo of heroin

clandestine firearms, found to be the proceeds of theft
They also took pictures 8 arrests in flagrante delicto and several referrals to the Judicial Authority.
The activities were attended by the Rome Flying Squad, with the support of the investigative offices of Latina, of the crews of the Crime Prevention Department, Anti-drug canine units and Flight Department.
