Police, Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, and Local Police unite to fight petty crime, illegal occupations, and urban decay.

Rome, massive raid at Magliana: arrests, charges, and seizures in 72 hours

It is a three-round blitz, the one “beaten” in the arc of 72 hours under the direction of the Rome police headquarters. Coordinated by Head of the 11th San Paolo District, agents of the State Police,Arms of the Carabinieriand Guardia di Finanza and Local Police of Rome Capital, they combed the area near the Magliana. Petty crime, degradation and illegal occupations were the main targets of the operation.

The crews of the Police Station and the General Prevention Office have focused their attention on thesettlement on Via Luigi Candoni, checking with the Local Police the regularity of the assignees.

  • 450 people identified

  • 4 non-EU citizens without documents accompanied to the Immigration Office.

During vehicle checks:

  • found 3 stolen motorcycles

  • seized 1 car misappropriated.

Still in the context of illegal occupations, they have been found two subjects in apartments sine titulo. Two illegal settlements linked to toxic fires under the Magliana viaduct and near the Tiber Magliana Park. Here they were reported 13 Guests of Romanian nationality for road occupation.

Among them a 36 year old Romanian, recipient of a prison order from the Public Prosecutor's Office Milano for immigration violations: arrested and taken to Rebibbia. Same fate for a 41-year-old Italian woman, hit by an executive order for abuse in the family.

In the former building “Miralance”, two foreigners were removed because they were caught occupying the underpass with waste materials. De Andrè Park, subject of reports for disturbing presences, several individuals have been identified.

On the commercial activities front, the XI Marconi Group of the Local Police he noted illegal activities in 5 public establishments, with fines for almost 10mila euros for illegal occupation of public land, violations of municipal police regulations, and other administrative irregularities. The entire operation falls within the scope of strategy of the Rome Police Headquarters for strengthen the control of the territory, to contrast urban decay and guarantee public security.
