Guidonia Montecelio: 36-year-old arrested, theft, vehicle recycling and threats.

In compliance with the rights of the accused, to be considered presumed innocent until final sentence, it is communicated that the State Police officers, under the direction of the Tivoli Prosecutor's Office, they arrested a 36 years old from Guidonia Montecelio, considered to be seriously suspected of a series of crimes, including:

• Theft and recycling of cars and motorcycles
• Aggravated threats
• Resistance to a public official
• Theft in commercial establishments

The suspect allegedly stole a large quantity of products, among which perfumes, sweets and jars of hazelnut spread, operating in supermarkets and perfumeries in the area.

THE INVESTIGATIONS

The investigation was triggered after numerous reports of theft were filed in recent months. Thanks to the surveillance cameras, investigators have identified the 36-year-old as the alleged perpetrator of at least 12 thefts between May 2024 and January 2025.

The suspect, with a consolidated modus operandi, stole vehicles to use to reach the commercial establishments to be targeted. In some cases, he would threatened the rightful owners of the means stolen with screwdrivers, scissors, cleavers and garden saws.

THE ARREST AND THE SEIZURE

At the request of Tivoli Prosecutor's Office, Judge for Preliminary Investigations issued an order of pre-trial detention in prison.

During the house search, the agents of Tivoli police station they recovered, among the seized material, a laptop and a digital whiteboard stolen from the Garibaldi Institute in Setteville di Guidonia, devices intended for pupils with disabilities.

The entire material was promptly returned to the rightful recipients.
