A 24-year-old Roman man was found hiding over six kilos of frozen hashish in coffee grounds: he was discovered and arrested by the State Police.

A Rome, an operation of the State Police led to the arrest of a 24-year-old Roman, seriously suspected of the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing narcotic substancesThe young man was walking in the neighborhood Conca d'Oro clutching a box in his arms, as if it were any other package. The apparently ordinary scene, however, aroused the suspicions of the police officers. III District Fidene Serpentara, who decided to follow him as he was about to pass through the gate of his home with a cautious attitude.
The officers stopped him for a police check, escorting him to the door. Inside the box, behind the packaging and the seemingly harmless appearance of a cooler, were stored— “iced” and mixed with coffee powder — over five kilos of hashish divided into classic 100g loaves.
The subsequent house search allowed them to find, hidden in the desk drawer in the bedroom, another kilo and 100 grams of hashish, 50 grams of cocaine and an "ledger" with the accounting of the illicit activity. The residence also contained all the materials needed to package the retail doses of the seized shipment.
For the 24 year old, the situation started immediately the handcuffs. The arrest was validated by the Judicial Authority in the courtrooms of Piazzale Clodio.
