Reggio Calabria: Robbery ended with beating, the 4 perpetrators were reported to the competent Judicial Authority

It is the evening of May 13th, when the military of the Carabinieri Station of Reggio Calabria Principale, intervened in Viale Genovese Zerbi following an episode of improper robbery to the detriment of two minors.

The victims, two brothers aged 17 and 16, were near Lungomare Falcomatà when they were approached from a group of four young people. After stopping them while they were walking, they stole some personal effects from the two boys, slipping away from them and then fleeing into the surrounding streets.

The two brothers attempted to chase the perpetrators and, once they reached them, the young thieves attacked the two minors with kicks and punches to ensure their escape. During the robbery, one of the attackers was recognized by one of the victims as a 14-year-old boy from Reggio.

After the attack he suffered, the two brothers were entrusted to their father who arrived on the scene following the intervention of the Carabinieri.

At the conclusion of the investigations carried out the four minors involved were reported to the competent Judicial Authority; Further investigations are underway to clarify all aspects of the affair and identify any responsibilities.

The Carabinieri, through constant surveillance of the territory, continues to guarantee safety and public order in city centers, intervening promptly to prevent and combat any form of illegality, with particular attention to crimes involving the weaker groups.
