The investigations had started about a month ago, when the military of the Arma – during a territorial control service aimed at combating illicit cultivation – they had identified, thanks to the support of the Calabria Hunters Helicopter Squadron and the Vibo Valentia Helicopter Unit, a vast cannabis indica plantation.
From there, more in-depth investigations were carried out by the Carabinieri Station of Delianuova, which have allowed for identify the three alleged perpetrators: among them the owner of the land where the crop had been set up. The investigation also led to the discovery of a farmhouse used as a storage facility for the substance and accessible only to the three suspects.
With these tests, The Prosecutor's Office ordered a series of searches, also conducted with the use of drug-sniffing canine units, which allowed the discovery of further presumed narcotic substances., confirming the investigative framework.
