Ravenna: He physically and psychologically abuses his elderly mother, arrested

The State Police of the Ravenna Police Headquarters has a man, an Italian citizen, was arrested for the crime of mistreatment within the family. The Operations Centre of the Police Headquarters sent the Flying Squad to a house in the city, for the report from some citizens who heard the screams of a woman coming from inside an apartment. Two crews from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue immediately reached the location indicated for the intervention;Upon their arrival, the officers identified two people who were inside the house, a man, who was clearly in a state of alcoholic intoxication, and the elderly mother.

They learned that, for trivial reasons, the woman was allegedly subjected to physical and psychological violence by her son, who, in the circumstances, maintained a threatening attitude towards the parent even in the presence of the police. While the woman was transported to the hospital on board an ambulance that arrived on the scene, due to the minor injuries she had sustained, the man was taken to the police station and arrested for the crime of mistreatment within the family. The Public Prosecutor's Office of Ravenna, informed of the facts, ordered that he be taken to the local prison pending the validation hearing.
