Yesterday morning, at 10.20 am, a German tourist reported to the State Police operations center the disappearance of her husband, a 75-year-old man suffering from a mild form of senile dementia.

Yesterday morning, at 10.20 am, a German tourist reported to the State Police operations centre the disappearance of husband, a 75 year old man suffering from a mild form of senile dementia.

The woman, very worried, reported that the old man he had left the accommodation facility about an hour earlier in the city centre where the couple had been staying for a few days, on board your own car, without ever returning.

The State Police immediately launched a search, activating patrol cars in the area. After about two hours, the officers managed to intercept the man in a street in the city center. Visibly disoriented, he explained that to have lost one's way and that he didn't remember the route back to the bed and breakfast.

The police officers have, therefore, provided immediate assistance to the elderly man by accompanying him to the accommodation facility, where he was able to hug his wife again.
