Lugo: They attack the Carabinieri. 2 foreign citizens arrested, found in possession of balaclavas and burglary tools

During the night between the 6 and 7 February, the Carabinieri of the Lugo Operational and Radiomobile Unit have 2 young 21 year old Kosovars arrested, to aggravated resistance against a public official and reported for carrying of weapons and burglary tools.

The story began in the very early morning, around 05.00 when the Emergency Response soldiers were carrying out some patrol checks in the streets of the historic center of Lugo.

Suddenly, near thePost office of via Magnapassi, they noticed that alarge-engined car who, after having taken the aforementioned road, suddenly slowed down and decided to return in the direction of origin.

This maneuver has the Carabinieri became suspicious who quickly set about chase the vehicle.

When the Gazelle reached the other vehicle, the occupants suddenly opened the doors and jumped out walk away on foot, trying to cover their tracks.

Obviously the soldiers chased them and, after a short chase, they managed to stop them and then bring them back to their vehicle.

It was initially bloccato, but his 2 compatriots, already evidently agitated, attacked the two soldiers, allowing the third accomplice to escape quickly. The 2 stop they were then drawn into arrest and taken to the barracks for the formal procedures.

Inside the vehicle were recovered dark balaclavas, special work gloves and burglary tools, in particular a long screwdriver suitable for forcing open window frames and doors.

The necessary investigations are still underway both to identify the fugitive with certainty and to ascertain, on the basis of the objects and weapons found in the vehicle's passenger compartment, whether the men arrested were responsible for the commission of property crime, as burglaries in homes or commercial establishments.
