Theft with dexterity in Faenza: 2 arrests for the theft of an elderly woman's bag

During the morning yesterday, the Carabinieri of the Operational Nucleus of the Faenza Company and of the Faenza Borgo Urbecco Station, Two men were arrested red-handed for the theft of an elderly lady. The woman, in fact, driving her own vehicle she had stopped to throw out the garbage inside some dumpsters on the roadside, not far from the local cemetery, but leaving the car open and the bag inside, when a second vehicle carrying the two criminals pulled up alongside and one of the two quickly and stealthily managed to steal her bag and then get back into the car and flee.

However, the attempt to escape was immediately thwarted by the Carabinieri. of the Operational Unit, engaged in a targeted service in civilian clothes and with cover cars, aimed at combating the predatory crimes committed in that area, which have already been the subject of similar episodes in the recent past. The military immediately noticed them and stopped them. with the help of colleagues from the Borgo Urbecco station, who came to support them.

The two men, both of Italian nationality but of Roma origin, were then arrested in flagrante delicto and held in a security cell, awaiting the validation hearing at the Court of Ravenna. At the same time, procedures have been started for the release of the order prohibiting her from returning to the Municipality of Faenza by the Ravenna Police Headquarters. The stolen bag, containing in addition to the sum of €300,00, personal effects but above all some objects belonging to her deceased husband, about which the woman was understandably particularly concerned.
