I Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Ravenna have intensified control services during the holidays, with the aim of improving the crime prevention and ensure the tranquility of those who live and visit the city during this period.
Surveillance services have been strengthened in all the most frequented areas of the city, such as the Old Town and areas with high commercial attractiveness, in particular those linked to the Christmas shopping, without neglecting the peripheral and most sensitive neighborhoods. At the same time, thanks to the support of foot patrols with uniformed staff representing the pedestrian areas of the city centre.
Le representative uniforms they did not go unnoticed by those who crossed paths with them: the path of the Carabinieri during the services on foot through the streets of the historic center, ready to listen and respond to the needs of the community, has created a further opportunity to make tangible the proximity of the Arma to the citizens.
Risultati:
The services provided have obtained positive feedback, contributing to the prevention and repression of crime and improving perceived safety. In particular:
- 37 people reported to the judicial authority for crimes such as mistreatment within the family or towards cohabitants, sexual violence, stalking, fraud, receiving stolen goods and threats;
- 2 non-EU citizens arrested in flagrante delicto for aggravated theft in a home;
- Approximately 2700 people identified e over 1.300 vehicles checked;
- 11 driving licenses revoked and just as many reports for drunk driving, with drivers found to be travelling with blood alcohol levels well above the legal limit.
The Carabinieri of Ravenna thus confirms its commitment to guarantee greater safety and protection of the community during the holiday season.
