Youth, identity and security: the conference on youth deviance in Pesaro.
The Italian Forum for Urban Security and the Municipality of Pesaro are organizing for tomorrow, Thursday June 12 2025, the conference entitled “Youth Discomfort and Deviance between Identity and Community. Diagnosis and Policies of the Cities".
The appointment, which will be held in the Pallerini Hall of Palazzo Gradari in via Rossini 24 in Pesaro starting at 10 am, is part of the study and analysis process that FISU has been promoting for months regarding the observation of phenomena of deviance, discomfort and juvenile crime.
Minors represent a crucial theme for reasoning about integration, identity, social coexistence, citizenship education. From school to professional training, from family services to extra-scholastic aggregation centers, the comparison with the minor group is a fact of life, with which Local and Regional Authorities must interact, working to build educational paths targeted, of inclusion and active citizenship, in harmony with the social transformations underway, also with a view to crime prevention.
It is also a fact of life that there are paths of marginalisation and marginalisation which in public debate often translate into social alarm and public order and security problem. This is a small percentage compared to the majority of young people, but it is nevertheless a reality that exists, that cannot be ignored and that generates a widespread demand for security.
On these issues, local administrators, researchers and experts in Pesaro reflect on the annual assembly of the Italian Forum for Urban Security.
The Councilor for Security will speak for the Municipality of Pesaro Sara Mengucci.
