The Blue Flag flies at the Moletto in Pesaro for the 21st consecutive year

Clean sea, hospitality and inclusion: the Blue Flag flies again in Pesaro as a business card for summer 2025.

The Blue Flag flies at the Moletto in Pesaro for the 21st consecutive year.

For the 21st consecutive year the Blue Flag flies at Moletto in Pesaro.

"We are enjoying this great result of a comprehensive strategy regarding the care of the sea, but also of the infrastructures and structures related to hospitality and inclusion – said the deputy mayor and councilor for Culture Daniele Vimini -. The goal is to always do better, through interventions to ensure that this recognition is increasingly shared, from Baia Flaminia to Sottomonte». And he remembers: «A nice calling card for our city and for the Marche. One of the regions with the most beautiful sea in Italy and the highest number of Blue Flags if you consider that it has fewer kilometers of coastline than many other territories».

The Blue Flag recognition was awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), Danish NGO that rewards locations whose bathing waters have been excellent over the last 4 years. There are 246 coastal locations awarded in 2025, 84 tourist ports, for a total of 246 Italian municipalities and 487 beaches, including Sottomonte and Ponente.

"The care of the coast and the promotion of good environmental practices are priorities for our city. We are convinced that teamwork with trade associations, beach resort managers and hoteliers can make the difference for a beach that is increasingly liveable, sustainable and in line with the requirements of the Blue Flag - commented the Environment Councilor Maria Rosa Conti, remembering the project “ABC: Environment Common Good", Promoted by Municipality of Pesaro in collaboration with the association Zero Waste Brands ETS. «The aim is to support beach resorts and campsites in adopting good practices for the reduction and correct management of waste».

At the Blue Flag hoisting ceremony, in addition to the deputy mayor and the councilor, there were also the Port Authority, trade associations, representatives of hoteliers and beach resorts.
