Pesaro: Saturday 1 February, guided tour of the exhibition “The sense of beyond” at the Civic Museums of Palazzo Mosca
A new precious opportunity to visit the exhibition 'The sense of beyond' to the Civic Museums of Palazzo Mosca, with the works of Renato Bertini, Bruno Bruni, Oscar Piattella, Giuliano Vangi.
Saturday 1 February at 16, Pesaro Museums offers a guided tour of the exhibition held by the curators Cecilia Casadei e Brown Ceci; entrance with Pesaro Musei Card reduced, info and reservations 0721 387541, info@pesaromusei.it.
- Renato Bertini (1939) Bruno Bruni (1935) Oscar Piattella (1932 - 2023), Giuliano Vangi (1931 – 2024): 4 artists with a 'special' relationship with Pesaro – native land for the first 3, chosen homeland for the last – of which the exhibition, open until 16 February, offers a synthesis of their entire production over a seventy-year period.
Starting from the post-war 50s when Italy and Pesaro were experiencing the period of reconstruction: a climate that saw the friends Bertini, Bruni, Piattella and Vangi, united in their studies and love for art with the will to cross borders and break away from a narrow cultural climate.
Driven by the desire to live new experiences, they leave Pesaro – with the exception of Bruno Bruni they will all return there – to know the world.
Each then interpreted an autonomous and personal vision of art, but all looked beyond – hence the title of the event – beyond the boundaries of the mind and not only geographical ones.
- At the beginning the figuration, the portraits, then the painting between abstraction and evocation, the theme of Nature as the guiding thread of the poetics, Renato Bertini finds in Switzerland the place where its value is recognized.
- Bruno Bruni he left for Germany where he found success and approval: his vocation as a painter focused on the human figure to provide a contemporary look at human feeling.
- Oscar Piattella he went to Paris where he was fascinated by the walls marked by the destruction of the war, walls as totems of memory that would become the theme of a series of works between abstraction and evocation, the character that distinguished his entire pictorial research up to the last creative phase.
- Arrived in Pesaro in 1950, after having taught at the Marangoni Art Institute, Giuliano Vangi he crossed the ocean to drink in Brazilian culture and became the sculptor who admirably narrated man in all his facets.
'The sense of beyond' intends to place emphasis on thecreative anxiety of 4 artists who have been linked throughout their lives by the feeling of friendship, but also to highlight a historical moment for a transversal reading of a path that investigates the languages and poetics of authors who have marked the twentieth century.
Although it starts from works from the middle of the last century to arrive at the present day, the path does not want to be of an anthological nature but rather to bear witness to a process that goes beyond local connotations to embrace the meaning of art and restore an original and universal vision of the world.
The exhibition itinerary unfolds along the permanent rooms of Moscow Palace to bring each artist's works into dialogue with the civic treasures.
A second guided tour is scheduled for Sunday February 16 (11am) on the occasion of the exhibition finish.
'The Sense of Beyond' is an event promoted by the Municipality of Pesaro and the Pescheria Foundation – Visual Arts Center, with the sponsorship by: University of Urbino Carlo Bo, Oscar Piattella ETS Archive; in collaboration with Pesaro Musei; organized by Civita Mostre e Musei.
