Pesaro: the Municipality halves the TARI for families in difficulty

The Administration returns to support Pesaro families in difficulty for the payment of the TARI, «the beneficiaries of the 2024 tender will only pay half the bill». And how much provided for by the Municipality's 2024 Anti-Crisis Fund, which allocates 300 thousand euros «to an extraordinary operation that gives support to needy families in the area by halving the waste tax». To announce it, the councilor for Solidarity Luca Pandolfi and the councilor for Penalty Andrea Nobili. «Let's get back on the field by relieving citizens of half the waste bill, so as not to leave anyone behind». The Municipality had allocated 200.000 euros for the TARI 2024 Anti-Crisis Fund; with the latest change to the budget on 8 April it increased it to 300 thousand euros. «A figure that allows us to give support to those who are suffering from the continuing economic crisis connected to the global climate, energy and economic crisis as well as the geo-political situation increasingly conditioned by wars and conflicts. A context that has revealed new emerging groups of families in conditions of economic fragility, which risk transforming into new poverty", they point out Pandolfi and Nobili.

«Thanks to the fund, families will only pay two of the four envisaged installments. It is an intervention that is part of the vision of the Municipality, which has always been attentive to the most needy groups, to which we try to respond with interventions such as that of the Anti-Crisis Fund, which again this year we have included in the budget forecast at the beginning of the year, as a well-defined item indexed and stabilized, to be guaranteed also in future years. An unexpected choice which gives a clear signal of the Administration's sensitivity to the needs of families and which adds to the other interventions activated by the Municipality's social services" Pandolfi and Nobili specify and then add: «The one adopted for years by the Administration for the “Pesaro model” is a serious approach, marked by sharing, being together and tackling social issues in the area together». A model which, in the two Ricci legislatures, "has allocated, through the Anti-Crisis Fund, over 2 million euros to the area, ensuring invaluable continuity for the welfare system".

«Together with the Municipality - underline Roberto Rossini, general secretary of CGIL Pesaro and Urbino; Anna Baldella, Cisl and Fnp Cisl Pesaro-Urbino; Maria Grazia Tiritiello, Uil Marche regional secretary - we shared the destination line of the contributions; giving a more substantial response on the TARI makes it possible to cover a daily need of Pesaro families, who find it difficult to have a sufficient income to cover a cost of living that has grown enormously in recent years". The hope, for unions, is that «May the next administration preserve the political-social-historical heritage of building a shared platform of social policies that sets concrete and very measurable objectives, it is the only one that ensures virtuous management of “public affairs”».

The intervention is aimed at facilitate the payment of the tax, relating to the home of residence, to families that fall within the economic requirements that will be indicated in the notice that will be published in August.

To access the benefit, TARI - domestic waste registered users, referring to the home of residence, will be able to submit an application, electronically, by accessing the Online Services published on the website of the Municipality of Pesaro. Applicants will have to demonstrate that you meet the requirements for access to the benefit, to be up to date with the Tari payments for previous years and to have taken care of the payment of the first two installments due on 16 June and 16 August 2024. This is also why Pandolfi and Nobili remind interested families to "choose to pay the tax in installments and pay the first two installments before applying for the tender".

The contribution will be paid to those entitled until and no later than the funds are exhausted; if they are not sufficient to cover all needs, we will proceed with the formation of the ranking based on the ISEE, in ascending order, with priority in the event of a tie to households with the most members and, in the event of a tie, to those with the greatest number of minors aged no more than 10 years (in the event of a further tie, a draw will be carried out).

The notice will be published in August, to allow the payment of the first two Tari 2024 instalments. Before this date the online site will not allow the submission of the application.
